The core characteristics of the meta aramid fiber flame-retardant fabric
The fabric woven from meta aramid inherits the outstanding properties of the fiber:
Permanent inherent flame retardancy
Core advantages: It will not catch fire. When in contact with fire, the fabric will rapidly carbonize, expand and thicken, forming a solid carbonized layer that isolates heat and oxygen, thereby protecting the wearer. After removing from the fire source, it will not melt, drip or support combustion.
High limit oxygen index: Usually above 30% (air oxygen concentration is 21%), meaning it is difficult to burn in normal air.
Excellent thermal stability and high temperature resistance
Long-term operating temperature: It can work in an environment below 200°C without affecting its performance.
Short-term high temperature resistance: It can withstand short-term high temperatures up to 400°C.
Outstanding insulation
It is both an excellent thermal insulator and an electrical insulator, effectively preventing heat transfer and arc injuries.
Good mechanical properties
High strength: Excellent wear resistance and tear resistance, resulting in durable clothing.
Soft and comfortable: Compared to other high-temperature fibers (such as basalt fiber, pre-oxygen yarn), meta-aromatic fiber has a softer feel, closer to ordinary textiles, and provides better wearing comfort.
Chemical stability
It can resist the erosion of most chemical solvents and oils, and does not age easily.
